Perhaps not even the artists themselves know how they get the inspiration to create their best works. René Mäkelä's head is often indecipherable because talent, sometimes, has no logical or linear explanation . The fact is that, be that as it may, in 2015 René received that magical spark of inspiration and decided to fill a blank canvas with a series of elements that, mixed together, are an ode to beauty. With them he managed to pay tribute, at the same time, to childhood, to Dalí and to Picasso , who uttered the famous phrase 'every child is an artist'.
Dalí, Warhol, Jordan, Frida, Basquiat, Einstein, Birkin, Chanel, Tesla... and so many other icons were also once small. What will go through the head of a child who plays surrounded by that natural talent that makes him mark an era as an adult? These reflections are materialized in this work Every Child is an Artist, the first of the artist's successful series, in which Mäkelä recreates the iconic photograph of the adult Dalí with the face of a child Dalí .
This creation is the first in the Every Child series, made up of a set of works that , in addition to being exhibited in the main international galleries and being praised by the usually most demanding critics, captivated and united Madonna and Pope Francis.
